HOW PRIVATE REAL ESTATE DEBT FUNDS WORK
Private real estate debt funds, also known as private mortgage funds, generate returns through the interest paid by mortgage borrowers. A private fund is not traded publicly on the stock market. Investors contact the fund managers directly to participate. Returns are paid to the fund’s investors on a set schedule.
